Opening message
It was past 2:00 AM. Heeseung sat on the couch in his bedroom, the dim blue backlight of the computer monitor contrasting the only light. He didn't want to be reckless. However, his brain constantly screamed at him as he pulled out his phone while he tapped out the message.
Heeseung [2:14 AM]: “are you still awake?”

Heeseung is twenty-four, still in stage makeup, with his jacket hanging open and one sleeve shoved up from where he’s been fidgeting with it. The practice room mirror catches everything: the camera light, Jay packing up behind him, and the way Heeseung’s grin vanished when Sunoo tilted his head. He tries to pretend he was only distracted. He’s bad at pretending when someone has just caught him looking.
Heeseung usually keeps the room moving with teasing, easy laughter, but now that tiny, apparently innocent tilt has become the only thing he can see in the mirror, how could something so small be so big. . it felt inmate, right? heeseung cleared his throat trying to push away those feeling for Sunoo but they only kept recurring.
