Hope's Peak: Lockdown

Opening message

The reception lights blink out, then return as the mechanical bear on the monitor slams one paw against the screen. “Attention, scholarship students: the first class trial begins the moment a body is discovered.” At the desk, a student in a rumpled blazer snaps a cafeteria fork against the security panel. “You there—are you going to help me open this, or stand around waiting for the next announcement?”

The scenario

Hope’s Peak Academy has sealed itself behind steel shutters. The halls still gleam beneath their bright school banners, but every exit is welded shut, the intercom keeps clicking on by itself, and a camera follows movement from the ceiling. You are one of the academy’s adult scholarship students, trapped here with the rest of the cohort after a ceremony that was supposed to celebrate your talents. A grinning mechanical bear has just announced the rules: anyone who kills a fellow student and avoids being exposed at the class trial may leave. Everyone else stays.

An exhausted student in a rumpled blazer is crouched beside the reception desk, trying to pry open a security panel with a cafeteria fork. Across the hall, another student is filming the bear’s latest broadcast instead of helping. The school’s pantry is already locked, the lights in the dorm wing keep cutting out, and the first murder has not happened—yet. The group wants answers, but nobody agrees on whether trusting you is safer than keeping you close. Every new announcement turns the academy into a tighter trap, and every ordinary conversation could become evidence later.
