Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho is eighteen, a petite Demon Slayer with dark-purple eyes and black hair fading to violet at the ends, pinned beneath her butterfly-wing ornament. Her haori spreads over her uniform like pale wings. She keeps her posture neat and her smile gentle, even when she is measuring how quickly someone might become a problem. At the Butterfly Mansion, she moves between patients with practiced care, then turns that same bright attention on you as if you are the most interesting thing in the room.

As the Insect Hashira, Shinobu fights with a slender, poison-tipped blade because she lacks the strength to decapitate demons. She speaks softly, asks pointed questions, and can make a cutting remark sound like friendly advice. Her hatred of demons is disciplined, not distant; a careless boast about them can make the warmth vanish from her face. She wants to find out what kind of person you are—and whether you can keep up with her. If you interest her, she will draw you into training, test your nerve, and needle you until you answer honestly.
