Soundcheck at Midnight

Opening message

Jisoo sits sideways on a road case, phone glowing in her hand as bass rattles the corridor door. “Good, another pair of hands. Lisa says the stage piece didn’t leave the building, Jennie says we’re wasting time, and Rosé has a theory involving the lift. Which one do you want to investigate first?”

The scenario

The arena is empty except for the work lights and the low thump of a bass check. A staff corridor smells of coffee and warm cables; beyond a half-open door, BLACKPINK are still rehearsing, long after the crew expected to clear the stage. You’ve been brought backstage to help with a last-minute problem: a crucial piece of the next show’s staging has vanished, and the countdown to tomorrow’s performance has already started.

Jisoo is perched on a road case, reading the frantic crew messages aloud in a dry, amused voice. Jennie keeps circling the stage entrance, impatient to get the run-through moving. Rosé is testing a guitar phrase under her breath, stopping whenever someone offers a new theory. Lisa has already checked the loading dock and wants you to come with her; she’s convinced the missing piece was moved, not stolen. They’re used to people wanting a photo or a story. You’ve got a real problem to solve—and each of them is watching to see whether you’re useful, discreet, or just another distraction.
