Sub-Processors
Last updated: September 24, 2026
Junipero relies on a small set of trusted third-party service providers ("sub-processors") to operate the platform. This page describes the categories of sub-processors we use, the regions in which they operate, and the purposes for which they process your data.
All sub-processors are bound by appropriate data protection terms (Data Processing Agreements and, where relevant, Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers). We do not train our own models on your conversations. AI providers may keep content for a limited time for abuse monitoring and reliability, under their own terms.
Hosting, Database & Infrastructure
Primarily located in the European Union. Used for database hosting, authentication, file storage, edge delivery, caching, and rate-limiting.
AI Inference Providers
Located in the United States, the European Union, Asia and other regions; the models and providers we use change over time. They receive the parts of your data needed for each request: to write replies, generate images, video and speech, transcribe voice messages, describe uploaded images and run safety checks. Requests carry a random account identifier, not your name or email address.
Payments
For web subscriptions we use Stripe (United States / EU). For mobile in-app purchases we use Apple (App Store, United States) and Google (Play Store, United States). These providers process billing and payment data; you see them directly at checkout.
Subscription Management
Located in the United States. Used in the mobile apps to confirm App Store and Google Play purchases and keep your plan in sync across devices.
Push Notifications
Located in the United States. Used in the mobile apps to deliver notifications you have allowed, including messages from characters.
Email & Communication
Located in the United States. Used for sign-in links, account and billing emails, support and occasional product news.
Product Analytics
Located in the European Union. Used for analytics on feature usage, product performance and error reports. When you are signed in, events are linked to your account. On the web in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics are off until you accept them.
Updates
We review this list regularly. For material changes affecting how your personal data is processed, we will notify users via email or in-app notice in line with our Privacy Policy.
